Today as part of Kahala Mall's Keiki Fair, kids can take part in free activities that tie in with the National Geographic movie "Arctic Tale," opening Aug. 17.
Head to the mall's Center Court for:
Craft-making inspired by "Arctic Tale," 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A session with Sierra Club Hawaii director Jeff Mikulina on simple, everyday ways to reduce global warming and promote a healthy Hawai'i, 2:30 to 3 p.m.
Starbucks will serve free beverages and desserts.
Here are two green-livin' tips for kids from Mikulina:
Get out: You don't need greenhouse gas to have fun. Instead of watching TV or playing video games, take the fun outside.
Pedal power: Instead of asking mom to drive you, put your feet to work by walking or biking.
