Off-peak flights at cut-rate price

ATA, an air carrier that bills itself as offering affordable air service, has started an airfare sale that features off-peak flights from Hawai'i to Los Angeles and Oakland for as low as $139 one-way.
The seven-day advance purchase fare must be purchased at the airline's www.ata.com Web site. It is good for travel on varying dates beginning either late this month or next month and extending through Nov. 15. Other fares include $159 to Ontario, Calif., and Phoenix for $169; Chicago's Midway airport for $269.
Tickets purchased through ATA reservation centers and ticket counters will cost $10 more and the fares are nonrefundable. Taxes and security fees aren't included in the above prices.
HIGH-END VODKA EXPANDS MARKET
Hawai'i beverage industry veteran Marcus Bender is expanding distribution of his ultra-premium vodka, Kai, after selling it locally for several months.
Bender has signed an agreement with Southern Wine & Spirits to distribute the high-end vodka in the Golden State. Kai is promoted as the world's first rice vodka in the ultra-premium category. It also is marketing itself as producing the world's first lychee-flavored vodka.
OUTRIGGER SIGNS AUSTRALIA DEAL
Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is expanding in Australia with another management agreement. It will manage the 343-room Twin Towns Services Club on the Queensland-New South Wales border.
The 4 1/2-star resort is in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. Pending approval by Twin Towns Services Club members and owners, Outrigger will assume management of the resort's Harbour and Ocean Towers beginning November 1. Outrigger said Twin Towns Services Club's gaming, entertainment, conference and food and beverage facilities will stay under the Club's control.
Outrigger is Hawai'i's largest hotel management company and last week announced it had been selected to manage the Viridian Resort and Spa, a project being built on Australia's Sunshine Coast.
HOIKE TECH BUYS SHARE OF CCI
Information technology services company Hoike Technology today announced that it acquired a minority interest in Century Computers Inc., creating the biggest Hawai'i-based networking services group, according to Hoike.
As part of the transaction, Hoike's networking services team of eight employees will be merged with the 72 employees of Century Computers and work out of CCI's offices in Restaurant Row.
Hoike Technology is a subsidiary of Island Holdings Inc., which has $500 million in assets and owns Island Insurance Company Ltd. Honolulu-based Century Computers is an information technology services company founded in 1983. The company provides business services to companies throughout the state.
