Refuge plans lighthouse event

Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge will celebration Lighthouse Day with day-long free tours and activities from 10 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. May 5.
The refuge will offer free wildlife tours and guided tours to the top of the historic Kilauea Light.
The historic light will be lit at 7 p.m.
The old lighthouse is in need of repair, and to support a restoration campaign, the engraved bricks are being sold from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Among the activities will be a 5 p.m. performance by Naomi Yokotake's Hula Halau 'O Hanalei. Additionally, children can make lighthouse magnets from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
