TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Hannah Montana," 7 p.m., Disney Channel. This comedy has a light-hearted charm that keeps us watching despite its flaws. Miley Cyrus is vibrant as Miley Stewart. Her classmates don't know she dons a wig and becomes pop star Hannah Montana. Billy Ray Cyrus (her real-life father) plays her dad, a widower and former rock star. Tonight, Miley loses her voice and frets. That spurs some flashbacks with Brooke Shields as her late mother. Parts of this are too goofy, but there are some reasonably funny moments.
"Close to Home," 8 p.m., CBS. In the start of a two-parter, Annabeth (Jennifer Finnigan) sees signs of police corruption. Meanwhile, Conlon (David James Elliott) has his campaign manager. Jonathan Silverman, who is Finnigan's fiance in real life, plays him.
OF NOTE
"Saturday Night Fever" (1977), 5 p.m., AMC, and "Under the Tuscan Sun" (2003), 8 p.m., ABC Family. Here are two choices in a good movie night. "Fever" is a classic, beautifully blending the visuals of director John Badham and the music of The Bee Gees. "Tuscan" is a quietly interesting film with Diane Lane as an American who suddenly remakes her life in the wine country of Tuscany.
"Out of Sight" (1998), 6 p.m., Bravo. One more sign of a strong movie night: George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez are in a first-rate Elmore Leonard tale of crime and romance, slickly directed by Steven Soderbergh.
"Wife, Mom, Bounty Hunter," 6 p.m., WE. How do you find a missing felon? In this case, Sandra Scott uses the computer; she learns that her target has a MySpace page. Afterward, at 6:30, catch a quick rerun of last week's opener, introducing Scott and her people.
"Ghost Whisperer," 7 p.m., CBS. Melinda befriends a man who seems to have the same abilities she has. Then she starts to be suspicious.
"Raines," 8 p.m., NBC. This interesting series wraps up its test run with another challenge for Raines, the somber detective (Jeff Goldblum); he's supposed to help his ex-wife (Cynthia Watros, the busy actress who was Libby on "Lost," Kellie on "The Drew Carey Show" and Erin on "Titus"). Things may get complicated because Raines tends to envision and talk with the murder victims.
"Law & Order," 9 p.m., NBC. At first the death of a Russian immigrant seems to involve terrorism. Then police dig into the victim's life.
