Kamehameha stops No. 1 'Iolani

Analee Viena Lota scored 17 points and Alexandres-Joan Akana added 10, helping visiting and No. 4 ranked Kamehameha upset top-ranked 'Iolani, 53-50, last night in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I game.

The Warriors and Raiders are both 8-2 and tied for first place.

Kamehameha trailed 41-39 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Raiders 14-9 the rest of the way.

Chanel Hirata scored 15 points and Jamie Smith 11 for 'Iolani.

Kapua Chandler scored 15 points, Zane Nue Apiki added 12 as the Warriors (10-1) turned back the Raiders (7-4) in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II game.

The Warriors remained one game behind first place Sacred Hearts (11-0).

The Falcons (9-2) scored with less than 10 seconds left and hung on for an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East victory when the Red Raiders (3-8) missed a 3-pointer with three seconds to play,

With 10 seconds left, Kalani called a timeout and came back to score. With 3 seconds left, Kahuku missed a 3-pointer attempt.
