Advertiser Staff and News Services

Honolulu-based Tissue Genesis Inc. has appointed Dr. Gary Gentzkow its chief medical officer. Gentzkow will head the company's efforts to move its research programs in fat-derived cells into clinical studies.

Gentzkow has 30 years experience developing new medical therapies — pharmaceutical, medical devices, biological and cellular, according to Tissue Genesis. This work has focused on wound healing and cardiovascular regeneration and repair, and he has been a consultant to companies developing these new technologies.

Tissue Genesis' main product creates an engineered environment for cell and tissue growth, allowing for better control of experiments.
