PUMBA
TAG NO. 07-5720
Pumba was formerly military-owned. He is a big neutered orange and white lovebug who adores having his tummy scratched, and believe us, there's a lot of tummy there to scratch! Pumba is very attentive and responsive, but should probably be put on a special diet to increase his longevity.
BLUE GIRL
TAG NO. 07-3807
Blue Girl has been at the shelter a month now. Hard to believe this good-looking young spayed female with the cool markings has not yet found her "fur-ever" home. She is brown and black, shy and somewhat timid at first, but warms up quickly.
LANI
TAG NO. 07-1419
Lani is very active and rambunctious. For this reason, she is part of the society's behavior program, where she is learning basic manners and commands. Lani has a sleek brindle and white coat — perfect for our Island climate — and needs to be an "only dog."
These animals already may have found homes. The Hawaiian Humane Society and McInerny Dog Park, at 2700 Wai'alae Ave., are open weekdays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For directions, special events and to see more pets available for adoption, visit www.hawaiianhumane.org or call 946-2187.
