Mos Def may be getting more kudos for his acting than his music these days, but he still walks the talk, appearing on HBO's "Def Jam Poetry." As The New York Times says: "The man has built both his music and film careers on a foundation of integrity." When he plays Honolulu Thursday and Friday, keep an ear open for his song "Dollar Day," written in the wake of Hurricane Katrina (you might recognize the backing track from Juvenile's "Nolia Clap"). Also on the bill: Krystilez and DJs XL and Jimmy Taco. 10 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday; Pipeline Cafe; $40-$70; www.ticketmaster.com.
