Bling your DNA with a necklace
Advertiser Staff
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA, Kahuku High & Intermediate School biotechnology teacher Iris Kahaulelio will help individuals capture and preserve their own DNA to wear on a necklace, 2-6 p.m. April 25 at the school, Room W-202.
Some couples who have done the procedure have exchanged DNA necklaces or combined their DNA to give to their children, Kahaulelio said.
Call Kahaulelio to sign up at 293-8912, ext. 284, or e-mail khsiris@aol.com. The cost is $20 and proceeds will be used to purchase classroom supplies.
