A man was killed last night when his motorcycle collided with a car on Hale'iwa Road.

The accident happened about 10:30 p.m., and paramedics said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His age was not immediately available.

A woman in the car involved was pinned and firefighters were using the "jaws of life" to get her out, paramedics said. She was not believed to be seriously injured.

Traffic police were investigating the crash last night and did not have further details on its cause.
