The city will reopen Anahulu Bridge in Hale'iwa at 2 p.m. today, several days ahead of schedule.

The bridge, which was closed Monday, was to be closed to traffic for seven to 10 days while workers rebuilt the bridge deck.

The 85-year-old bridge spans the Anahulu Stream and is also known as the Rainbow Bridge. It was closed so the contractor could pour a new bridge deck. The bridge renovation cost more than $3 million.
