SAMARITAN CENTER TO INSTALL DIRECTOR
The Rev. Dr. Jonipher Kwong will be installed as executive director of Samaritan Counseling Center at 2 p.m. Oct. 22 in Central Union Church's Fireside Room.
On hand will be a Hawaiian kahu, Jewish rabbi, Roman Catholic priest, Quaker friend and several Protestant clergy. The Rev. Yoshiaki Fujitani, a retired Buddhist bishop, officiates.
Kwong graduated from Claremont School of Theology with doctor of ministry and master of divinity degrees and has served as pastor of 'Ohana Metropolitan Community Church.
