The Doris Duke Theatre's cinematic fling with acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, right, continues today with 1995's "Flower of My Secret (La Flor de Mi Secreto)." A bit restrained when compared to Almodóvar's more well-known celebrations of out-there quirkiness, "Flower" checks in on a romance novelist in turmoil. Her U.N. peacekeeper husband doesn't love her. Her publisher believes her new novel won't sell. So what does she do? Write for a newspaper. And attract the amor of her editor in the process. At 1 and 7:30 p.m. 532-8768. The Duke's "Viva Pedro!" retrospective continues through Oct. 18.
