BYUH's Peters on elite team

Brigham Young-Hawai'i junior outside hitter Michelle (Tuli) Peters has been named to the Daktronics NCAA II All-America First Team.
Peters, a Kahuku High graduate from La'ie, averaged 5.56 kills and 3.89 digs per game while leading the Seasiders to an undefeated regular season and the championship of the Pacific West Conference. BYUH lost in the opening round of the NCAA II Pacific Regional to finish with a 20-1 record.
The Daktronics NCAA II All-America Team is nominated by and voted on by the sports information directors at NCAA II institutions.
Earlier, Peters, BYUH sophomore setter LeeAnn Mapu and Hawai'i Pacific senior middle blocker Barbara Martin were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association Pacific Region First Team.

ESELU OREGON-BOUND
Moanalua High tight end/defensive lineman Savai'i Eselu said he has accepted a scholarship offer to play at Oregon.
"Oregon was sweet, academically, athletically," he said. "They pulled out all the stops when I came."
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound senior took his recruiting visit two weekends ago. He said he like Oregon's school of business, which offers courses in sports management.
He also had offers from Colorado, Arizona, San Diego State, Washington, Utah, Stanford and New Mexico State.
Oregon wants Eselu to play tight end.
