The state Department of Taxation's year-end workshop series is set to begin on Nov. 27 and includes updated information on tax forms, filing tips, compliance issues and tax litigation and a presentation on a new surcharge.

People registering at least two weeks early can attend for $60. An additional fee of $5 is charged after that. The cost includes materials, an information CD and continental breakfast.

The workshops are scheduled:

Nov. 27: Kaua'i Community College, dining room.

Dec. 4: Maui Beach Hotel, Elleair Rainbow Room.

Dec. 11: Ala Moana Hotel, Hibiscus Room.

Dec. 14: Royal Kona Resort, Discovery Room.

Dec. 15: Hawai'i Community College, Manono Campus Building 388.

Each of the sessions are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m.
