Enter The Advertiser's fiction contest
Two well-written pieces of short fiction will win a pair of writers $200 each in The Advertiser's annual Holiday Fiction Contest.
Entries are being accepted in two divisions: a story for adults, and another suitable for reading aloud to children.
Word count limit: 1,500 words.
Manuscripts or e-mails must be labeled "adult" or "children's." Stories — fictional or fact-based — must be the author's own work.
Winners will be required to sign a fee-for-service contract granting The Honolulu Advertiser the right to publish the story and place it online.
Please include name, address, daytime telephone and e-mail address with entries. No pen names, please.
Deadline: Postmarked or e-mailed on or before Nov. 30.
Send stories to: Holiday Fiction, Island Life, The Advertiser, P.O. Box 3110, Honolulu, HI 96802; or islandlife@honoluluadvertiser.com, with "Holiday Fiction" in the subject line.
