The University of Hawai'i's regular-season ending football game with Oregon State on Dec. 2 will be shown on ESPN2, the network announced yesterday.
ESPN had until yesterday to choose whether it would show that game or the Nov. 25 game with Purdue.
The UH-Purdue game has been added to Hawai'i's TV pay-per-view package, replacing the UH-OSU game.
An ESPN spokesman said the UH-OSU game will be shown at 6 p.m. Hawai'i time, keeping the kickoff time the same as originally scheduled.
"I am pleased that ESPN recognized the quality of our football team and was able to work with us in getting this game on national television," UH athletic director Herman Frazier said in a prepared statement. "I am also happy that they were able to keep the kickoff at 6 p.m. in order to accommodate our fans."
It will be UH's first nationally-shown cable game since last year's Wisconsin game.
"It's going to be a fun and exciting game to watch if we can continue to play the way we have been," UH coach June Jones said in a statement, "also since Oregon State has played very well lately and looked really good against USC."
