West Oahu CaneFires top Waikiki BeachBoys

Brian McFall hit a solo homer and John Mayberry Jr. belted a two-run double as the West Oahu CaneFires defeated the Waikiki BeachBoys, 4-2, last night in a Hawaii Winter Baseball game at Les Murakami Stadium.
Sean Kazmar's RBI single in the fifth made it 3-0 and proved to be the winning run when the BeachBoys scored single runs in the seventh and eighth.
Tomoaki Egawa batted 4 for 5, Nate Schierholtz hit an RBI triple and Eric Young Jr. had a run-scoring single for Waikiki.
Elsewhere, the doubleheader between North Shore and Honolulu at Hans L'Orange Park was postponed because of rain.

CLARIFICATION
DIVISION II ON MAUI
In the Division II state football semifinals on Nov. 24, Maui's King Kekaulike will host the winner of the first-round game between the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II champion and second-place OIA team.
ILH Division I champion Saint Louis received a first-round bye and will play in the semifinals at Aloha Stadium on Nov. 24.
A story in yesterday's Advertiser did not make clear which division would be playing on Maui.
