TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Gameshow Marathon" debut, 7 p.m., CBS. The good news is that networks are livening up the summer. CBS has the clever notion of taking C-list celebrities and zipping them through different game shows in a tournament. The bad news is that this starts tonight with "The Price is Right." "Price" lacks the play-along factor of other shows. That's especially true when played by people who apparently: a) don't shop, or b) don't notice how much they're paying. People in the audience feel compelled to shriek wildly at each development. Paige Davis, a contestant, makes even them seem sedate. One side note: In recent years, such brainy people as Brooke Burns have refuted the assumption that former "Baywatch" actresses are dim-witted. In this opener, Brande Roderick sort of brings that assumption back to life.

OF LOCAL NOTE

"2006 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards," 7:30 p.m., KFVE. The best local music recordings of 2005 are honored by members of the Hawai'i Academy of Recording Arts. Broadcast live from the Hilton Hawaiian Village's Coral Ballroom.

OF NOTE

"The Young and the Restless," 1 p.m., CBS. Jewel sings "Again and Again" and "Good Day." That's at a fundraiser marking the first anniversary of the Cassie Newman character.

"The George Lopez Show," 7 p.m., ABC. George and his wife compete over who does more work around the house.

"Freddie," 7:30 p.m., ABC. Freddie is torn between a date and a promise to baby-sit his niece.

"The Italian Job" (2003), 8 p.m., NBC. A 1969 heist film was remade into this smart thriller. Mark Wahlberg is solid as the leader, with a wonderful supporting cast that includes Charlize Theron and Edward Norton. Director F. Gary Gray gave this a sleek feeling with some great chase scenes.

"So You Think You Can Dance," 8 p.m., Fox. This reality show looks at its Chicago tryouts.

"Lost," 8 p.m., ABC. We're back to the beginning of the season now with a rerun of the fascinating episode in which we first saw inside the hatch. Also, flashbacks reveal details about Jack's ex-wife, played by Julie Bowen of "Boston Legal," and Shannon sees a kidnapped Walt.

"Frontline: The Age of AIDS" conclusion, 9 p.m., PBS. As drugs found ways to stall the effects of AIDS, the reactions varied from country to country, this documentary says. Some, including South Africa, did little. Others, led by Brazil, attacked the crisis.

"Commander in Chief" return, 9 p.m., ABC. This show won't be back next fall, but there are still some new episodes. In this one, Mac's medical crisis means her enemy, Templeton, is acting president.

"The Hills" debut, 10 p.m., MTV. "Laguna Beach" showed the sunny teen life of Lauren Conrad. Now this show follows her to fashion school and possibly an internship with Teen Vogue. She's become diligent about her school and life lately, setting up delightful contrasts with her friend, Heidi.
