The 2006-07 schedule for the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team was officially released yesterday.

The Rainbow Warriors will play 30 regular-season games — 16 in the Stan Sheriff Center, and 14 on the road.

Among the highlights on the home schedule are non-conference games against Oregon State of the Pac-10 Conference, and Northwestern State, which upset Iowa on a buzzer-beater in the first round of last season's NCAA Tournament.

Hawai'i will also host the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic for the 43rd consecutive year. Other teams in the field are Charlotte, Creighton, Houston, Nebraska, San Francisco, Valparaiso and Wyoming.

Among the highlights on the road schedule are three games in the Great Alaska Shootout and the Nov. 10 season-opener at Nevada-Las Vegas.

Hawai'i will also play 16 Western Athletic Conference games — a home-and-home series with each of the other eight teams.

The 'Bows finished with a 17-11 record last season. Among the top players returning in 2006-07 are Matt Lojeski, Ahmet Gueye, Matt Gibson, Bobby Nash and Dominic Waters.
