FILM, SUPPER AT ART ACADEMY
Don't you wish the Honolulu Academy of Arts Pavilion Cafe was open for dinner? For one night it is — the Pacific-Mediterranean eatery is taking reservations for Saturday as part of the academy's occasional Cinema Supper program. Have dinner (service starts at 5:30 p.m.) and watch Michael Winterbottom's hilarious (and R-rated) film-within-a-film "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story," starring the pithy Steve Coogan of "24 Hour Party People" fame, playing at 4 and 7:30 p.m. Call 532-8734 to reserve a table. Film admission is separate from dinner.

CASTING CALL
HAIR-CARE LINE SEEKS FACES
Got great locks and looks? KMS California, a hair-care company that says it celebrates the fusion of cultures, is seeking six "independent-minded and multifaceted individuals" to represent its new product line. Sounds like some local folks should have a shot at it. If you're all about individuality and self-expression, enter the casting call at www.iamkmscalifornia .com by no later than March 31. You'll need to write a 250- to 1,000- word essay. Eighteen finalists will receive an all-expense-paid trip for two to New York City to compete at a final event on April 25.

FINAL WORD
"We were just a group of people that were getting to know each other, making something that we really knew was special — there was only one moment for that. Now people aren't willing to skinny-dip at 2 a.m. There are paparazzi on this island."
