Ho'onou wins softball title

Mililani High pitcher Kishti Kamaka helped lead the Ho'onou 16-under girls softball team to the Girls Fastpitch Hawai'i Amateur Softball Association title.
Ho'onou beat Altima, 11-10, in the championship Sunday at Central O'ahu Regional Park.
Kamaka pitched in all five games that day, throwing 31 innings.
Ho'onou advances to the ASA National Tournament in Seattle, July 30 to Aug. 6.

DOLAN GRABS MEDALS
Kailua's Pat Dolan won two golds, a silver and a bronze last weekend at the Junior Cup International Regatta in Auronzo di Cadore, Italy.
Dolan opened Sunday's racing with a victory in the K1 500-meter race. He and New York's Taran Stucchio took third in the K2 500. Stucchio then edged Dolan for the gold in the K1 1,000. Those two teamed with Peter Metzger and Josh Brandsma to win the K4 1,000.
