Work at Toyota dealership done

Servco Pacific Inc. said it has completed an $8 million renovation and expansion of its Toyota City dealership in Mapunapuna.

Servco closed its Kaimuki Toyota dealership last month and is turning it into a service operation. The Mapunapuna site is now known as Servco Auto Honolulu.


HOKU SHARES DECLINE FURTHER

Kapolei-based Hoku Scientific Inc. closed at a new low of $3.55 a share yesterday on the Nasdaq.

Stock in the fuel cell technology company has traded lower since the company recently announced a move to diversify into the solar panel manufacturing business.


RALPH LAUREN DROPPING FUR

NEW YORK — Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. said yesterday that it is eliminating fur in its merchandising line, starting with the holiday season.

The move represents the first major designer house to abandon fur since Calvin Klein did so in the mid-1990s.


BIG ISLE DAILIES OWNER IN DEAL

LAS VEGAS — Stephens Media Group, the owner of two Big Island-based daily newspapers, has announced the purchase of five central Arkansas newspapers from Magie Enterprises, which has been operating for 50 years.

Financial terms of the sale weren't disclosed.
