CrimeStoppers and police are asking for the public's help in finding a man they believe may be responsible for as many as seven bank robberies in the past eight months.

The most recent heist occurred at about 4:10 p.m. Friday when a man entered the Kane'ohe branch of Central Pacific Bank at 45-1151 Kamehameha Highway. Police said the man approached a teller, brandished a pocket knife and demanded money.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled in the direction of Lilipuna Road.

Police said they believe the same man may have committed six other bank robberies from Oct. 24, 2005, to May 18.

Anyone with information about this person is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on a cellular phone.

The man wanted by police appears to be in his 30s, about 5 feet 8 and 150 pounds, with a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue denim pants.
