SAN DIEGO — Hawai'i's Natasha Kai scored her fourth goal in seven appearances with the U.S. Women's national soccer team yesterday as the Americans routed Ireland, 5-0.

Cat Whitehill scored two goals, and Heather O'Reilly and Abby Wambach each added one for the U.S.

Kai scored in the 75th minute. She received a perfect pass from Aly Wagner, who played a great curling pass behind the Ireland defense on the right side. Kai settled the ball on the run and was in alone on Irish goalkeeper Emma Byrne, before slotting her shot into the lower left corner.
