Certain household tasks need daily attention, said Linda Cobb, host of DIY Network's "Talking Dirty With the Queen of Clean."
It can feel like an eternal sentence making the bed, hanging up clothes, doing the dishes, and wiping down the countertops and stove day in and day out. The good news is, if you keep on top of things, you won't have a big mess to clean up all at once, Cobb said.

SAVE THE PLANET
BEAUTIFY A BEACH
Here's a feel-good deed with an extra perk — spending time at one of O'ahu's most beautiful beaches. Friends of Hanauma Bay seeks volunteers to clean up the beach and park, as well as Kalaniana'ole Highway from Keahole Street to the Blowhole, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Meet in the upper picnic area next to the visitor center. For details: 395-1217.
