JOHN "COBRA" DeSOTO SR., 81, of Wai'anae, died June 25, 2006. Born in Honohina, Hawai'i. A retired heavy equipment mechanic and co-founder of Hawaii Motorsports Association who pioneered motorcycle racing in Hawai'i. Survived by wife, Frenchy; sons, John Jr., Bruce Sr., Ronald Sr. and Manny; daughters, Laura DeSoto-McCollongh and Chiquita DeBoer; brothers, Paul and Jules; sister, Vivian Kilborn; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; service 7 p.m. Visitation also 9 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary; service 11:45 a.m.; burial 12:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. BETTY LOU FULLER, 62, of Wailuku, Maui, died July 5, 2006. Born in Wailuku. Chief executive officer at Wailuku Federal Credit Union. Survived by husband, Ronald; daughter, Jeri-Lynn Oaks; son, Jeffrey Santos; brothers, Lionel and William "Bill" Fernandez; sister, Clotilda Fernandez; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. CHARLES KIYONDO KIM, 86, of Honolulu, died June 26, 2006. Born in Honolulu. Retired painter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard Public Works Center. PATERNO DECANAY ROMERO, 79, of Kailua, Kona, Hawai'i, died June 28, 2006. Born in the Philippines. A farmer and World War II veteran.
