The city is holding a workshop for its Adopt-A-Stream program from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 4 at the St. John Plant Science Building at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa.
The workshop includes ecosystem restoration efforts, water sampling, reviewing plants and aquatic animals and field activities. The workshop is limited to 25 people.
The program allows community groups to take stewardship of streams and roads to keep them free of litter and other pollutants. Each group is required to clean a portion of a stream four times a year.
To register for the workshop, call Iwalani Sato at 692-5208 or Christina McGuire at 956-9305.
