MOVIE DEPICTS MISSIONARY WORK

"States of Grace," a spiritual-themed movie about a Mormon missionary and other faith followers in California, opens for a weeklong engagement Friday.

The movie plays at Pearl Highlands 12 and at the Wallace theater in La'ie.

"States of Grace" director Richard Dutcher took the interfaith approach, casting a practicing Jew as the Mormon missionary, and a devout Buddhist as a street preacher.
