Honolulu authorities are investigating the deaths of two men, approximately the same age, found in shoreline waters in separate O'ahu locations yesterday.
According to Bryan Cheplic, Emergency Medical Services spokesman, the first death involved a man believed to be in his late 30s or early 40s who was found early yesterday in the surf off Kapahulu Groin near a popular Waikiki body boarding spot known as The Wall.
EMS personnel pronounced that man dead shortly after 5:15 a.m., said Cheplic.
The second death occurred in the afternoon and involved a 37-year-old man found in the waters off White Plains Beach in Kalaeloa. Cheplic said EMS pronounced that man dead at around 3:20 p.m.
The city medical examiner's office yesterday had not released the identities of either man or the causes of death. Police are investigating both deaths.

STATEWIDE
AIRPORT PARKING TO BE A HASSLE
Parking is expected to be a hassle at state airports through New Year's Day, so officials are advising travelers to plan ahead and come early for flights.
Through tomorrow, valet parking at Honolulu Airport will be at the discounted rate of $20 for the first day and $10 for each subsequent day.
Interisland travelers are encouraged to use the valet service, come early to find a spot in the interisland parking lot or park in the overseas terminal lot.
At Kahului Airport on Maui, additional parking will be provided through the weekend along with a shuttle service to terminals. It will cost $5 to park for the day.
Overflow parking also will be opened at Kona and Hilo airports on the Big Island and Lihu'e on Kaua'i.
Signs to the overflow lots will be posted when the regular parking lots fill up.
