Advertiser Staff and News Services

Eric Byler (Moanalua High School, Class of 1990) will have a lot riding on "My Life Disoriented," a 27-minute TV pilot that made its debut at the Hawai'i International Film Festival this year and gets major PBS exposure at 10 p.m. Tuesday on Island affiliates KHET and KMEB.

"If all goes well, it could become the first Asian-Pacific-American TV series since Margaret Cho's 'All-American Girl,' " Byler said, via e-mail.

"My Life Disoriented" is airing on 500 PBS stations nationwide as part of the acclaimed PBS series "Independent Lens." He's urging viewers to tune in and let the local PBS affiliate know what they think.

ROSIE 'A WOMAN OUT OF CONTROL'

Rosie O'Donnell may have started a war with Donald Trump when she called him a "snake-oil salesman" on "The View" Wednesday.

O'Donnell's salvo came in response to The Donald's beneficent announcement that he would not fire Miss USA Tara Conner over some allegedly bad behavior.

Trump fired right back at Rosie, calling her "a woman out of control" and muttering threats of lawsuits over statements by O'Donnell questioning his financial well-being.

"You can't make false statements," Trump told People magazine. "Rosie will rue the words she said. I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements — and it'll be fun."

O'Donnell realized she was in for a fight after she criticized Trump, saying: "Here comes the lawsuit. Get ready. This is going to be good."
