TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"House," 7 and 8 p.m., Fox. Here are two reruns that remind us how brilliant this show can be. In the first, a disgruntled former patient shoots Dr. House. The doctor works on his current case from his hospital bed — with the shooter handcuffed to the next bed. The second flashes forward. House's recovery from the shooting leaves him pain-free for the first time in years. His pleasant attitude leaves colleagues perplexed and worried. Meanwhile, he deals with two cases involving paralysis.
"Big Day," 8 and 8:30 p.m., ABC. In a bizarre move, ABC has yanked "Help Me Help You" from the schedule. The good news is that this gives us back-to-back episodes of "Big Day," the hilarious show that spends the entire season on a wedding day. In tonight's first episode, the guys visit a strip bar; in the second, the groom learns that his honeymoon spot, an island retreat, has been overtaken by rebels.
OF NOTE
"I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown," 7 p.m., ABC. This 2003 cartoon uses ideas from the "Peanuts" strips of the late Charles Schulz. Snoopy's no-account brother, Spike, comes for a visit.
"Everest: Beyond the Limit" conclusion, 8 p.m., Discovery Channel. Last week, this excellent documentary series saw Mark Inglis become the first double amputee to reach the highest point on the planet. However, his teammates fell behind. Expedition leader Russell Brice calculated that they didn't have enough oxygen and ordered them to turn back; they refused. Tonight, they face a crisis.
"My Boys," 8 and 8:30 p.m., TBS. PJ remains perplexed by the details of romance. She's also bitter at a writer who copies her work.
