  • WAYNE Y. HAMANO has been promoted to senior vice president at Bank of Hawaii, thereby becoming a member of the bank's managing committee. In his new capacity, Hamano adds responsibility for bank subsidiary Triad Insurance Agency Inc., and international commercial operations to his current responsibilities, which include corporate banking, dealer commercial services and leasing subsidiary operations.

  • DEBRA SCHONEWILL has been named director of interior design for Kapalua Design. As such, she will oversee the planning, design and furnishing of the high-end interiors of residential, commercial, retail, restaurant and resort spaces at Kapalua Resort.

  • Kapalua Land Co. Ltd. has announced the appointment of ROBERT J. CIBOROWSKI as executive chef of the Bay Club, expected to open in December.

  • GLENN YAMASHITA has been named director of finance at Halekulani Corp. The longtime local executive has previously held varied positions with First Hawaiian Bank, James Campbell Estate, Sprint Hawaii, Pihana Pacific Inc. and Broadband ITV Inc.

  • Retired state Supreme Court justice MARIO R. RAMIL has been re-elected chairperson of the board of directors of St. Francis Residential Care Community, a subsidiary of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawai'i. Also re-elected as officers were board president, Eugene N. Tiwanak, president of St. Francis Healthcare Foundation; vice-president, Sister Francis Regis Hadano, and secretary-treasurer, Sister Norise Kaiser, mission educator for St. Francis Healthcare System.
