An Easter egg festooned with a likeness of Aloha Tower represents Hawai'i in the 2006 State Egg Display, which assembles 51 decorated eggs (one from each state and the District of Columbia), at the White House Visitor Center through April 24.

Shirley Yamamura of Pearl City decorated the egg for Hawai'i. Her work was chosen by the American Egg Board, as part of an Easter celebration that includes the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Egg rolling on the White House lawn started with President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1878, and the State Egg Display started in 1994.
