Martial-arts action hits the screen

Ten days of martial-arts cinema from the legendary vaults of the Shaw Brothers Studio kicks off tonight at the Doris Duke Theatre. And like the venue's tobacco heiress namesake, the lineup is smokin'. At 7:30 p.m., get busy with the 1977 "Clans of Intrigue" — featuring more choreographed fighting than a "Dynasty" rerun and an intriguing who-is-murdering-the-great-clan-chiefs-of-Hong-Kong story line. And Gordon Liu gets filthy in tomorrow's "Dirty Ho." A new film each night through April 16! Call 532-8768.
