On the family-friendly front, there’s the Bank of Hawaii Free Sunday at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This month’s theme is “Contain It!” with the emphasis on items such as baskets, bowls and boxes of different cultures.

There’s entertainment by steel pan musician Greg McDonald, and a performance by the Tangentz dance troupe; arts activities; and a gallery hunt. Of course, all galleries will be open for browsing.
