It'll be a three-play season — two popular musicals, plus a work geared for children — at Paliku Theatre at Windward Community College in the months ahead.
The slate includes:
"South Pacific," the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, playing Oct. 7-30, with curtain time at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Ronald E. Bright will direct, and the lead performers will be Steve Wagenseller, Sonya Mendez, Tony Young and Maryn Good. The show boasts a list of musical classics, such as "Some Enchanted Evening," "Younger Than Springtime," "Bali Hai" and "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair."
"Charlotte's Web," based on the children's book by E.B. White, playing at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 2 p.m. Feb. 19. Ben Gutierrez, of KITV-4, will direct the production, which is aimed toward a young audience.
"You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," a theatrical rendering of the comic characters created by Charles M. Schultz, playing April 7-15, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. John Bryan, a collaborator and a frequent performer in Bright productions, will direct.
