Police seek help in sewing-shop robbery

The CrimeStoppers program and the Honolulu Police Department are asking for the public's help in finding a gunman who held up a sewing shop on in Kalihi last week.

Police said the robber walked into the sewing shop, at 912 Gulick Ave., about 9:50 a.m. Oct. 13, pointed a handgun at one of the workers and demanded money.

He was last seen leaving the store running mauka along Gulick Street toward King Street.

The robber is described as about 5 feet 2, 120 pounds with black neck-length hair. He wore an orange T-shirt, dark colored long pants, a black cap and dark sunglasses and was carrying a black backpack at the time of the robbery.
