Authorities have charged a 20-year-old Schofield Barracks resident after he allegedly went on a stabbing rampage in downtown early Saturday.
Luis Martinez has been charged with two counts of assault and terroristic threatening after the incident.
It started when a man pulled a knife and threatened to kill the driver of a cab he had hailed. The man then allegedly ran to a nearby bus stop and began stabbing people.
Witness Mike Miles says the assailant looked like he was high on drugs.
Miles says the suspect stabbed his friend, went after a woman who was with him, and then stabbed another man at the bus stop.
"He wasn't gonna quit," Miles said. "And like, when he jumped on the other guy and he started stabbing him and stuff, you know, he wasn't gonna stop."
Miles says he grabbed a bicycle and tried to hold the suspect down with it until police arrived.
It took nine officers to restrain the suspect.
The two stabbing victims were taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition and were later upgraded to guarded condition.
