GLORIA WILLIAMS-AH SAM has been named director of SpaHalekulani at the Halekulani hotel. The facility is known for incorporating Pacific island healing traditions in its offerings. Williams-Ah Sam has worked for 13 years in spa management, "with positions at Abhasa Waikiki Spa at The Royal Hawaiian hotel, Malama Salon and Spa. and other locations. She has also worked for Frederic Fekkai Co. and Liberty House.
BOBBY SENAHA, who has been an account executive at HawaiiBusiness magazine, has been promoted to advertising director. His career has also included sales positions for Oceanic/BBiTV, KITV 4, The Weather Channel and Lifetime Television.
Hawai'i architectural and interior design firm Next Design LLC has announced that senior project manager REY D. QUEMADO and project manager MICHAEL S. OKAMOTO each has been promoted to the position of principal. Also, architect MARC W. LIZAMA has rejoined the firm as principal.
ROBIN WEATHERWAX has been promoted to an assistant vice president at American Savings Bank and branch manager of the firm's Windward City Shopping Center branch. Weatherwax joined American Savings in 1992. She is also treasurer of the Castle Band Aid Association.
Honolulu-based NetEnterprise, a full-service Internet and information technology company, has hired PERRY KALEOHANO as business unit director. Kaleohano will supervise the engineered information technology division of the company and serve as corporate liaison to vendors and original equipment manufacturers.
VICTORIA JACOBSON has been named catering sales manager for the Hawai'i Convention Center. Previously, Jacobson served as caterer and server for Mariposa restaurant in the Neiman Marcus store at Ala Moana Center. She has also worked at several San Francisco companies, including Paula LeDuc Catering Inc. and Crogan's Restaurant, and was assistant catering manager at the Italian Colors Restaurant in Oakland, Calif.
VICTOR A. CORPUZ, MITCHELL KAAIALII, lecia p. ortiz, JEFFREY S. VENTURA, KAREN H. MORIMOTO and JENNIFER L. UJIMORI have all been named vice presidents at First Hawaiian Bank.
NORMAN ASAO, who honed his skills at his family's Bakery Kapi'olani and worked 28 years at Honolulu Country Club, has been named executive chef of Windward O'ahu's Mid-Pacific Country Club. Asao is also president of the O'ahu Junior Golf Association, where his wife, Susan, is secretary. Both serve as directors of the Hawai'i State Golf Association.
