Calling all shoe divas: Macy's Ala Moana is featuring complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres at a trunk show of fall's most fashion-forward shoes. From 6 to 8 p.m. today, women are invited to enter the store's sexy-shoe contest. Winners who show up with the sexiest shoes will receive a pair of designer shoes valued at up to $250 and shoe boxes from Closet Fetish. The event is free and open to the public, but RSVP at 945-6427.

STUFFED TOY CAN HELP WITH BINKY BYE-BYE

Trying to get your child to give up her pacifier? Try this tip from Parents magazine: Take her to a stuffed-animal store, such as a Build-A-Bear (there's one at Ala Moana, above Shirokiya), and have her binky put inside the stuffed animal before it is sewn up. Have your child kiss the pacifier goodbye, and tell her she can sleep with it nearby in her new bear.
