Fire ritual will be held tomorrow
Shingon Shu Hawai'i, a Buddhist temple at 915 Sheridan St., will have a Saito Goma fire ritual at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
The open-air fire service will be performed by the Daigo sect of Shingon Buddhism, the oldest school that performs this ritual, the goal of which is to burn away the negative karmic effects of human passions.
