Chef Chih Chieh Chang of Shanghai Bistro will demonstrate the Chinese way with turkey, plus an array of vegetarian dishes and Chinese-style pumpkin pudding at a class Nov. 19 at the restaurant, in Discovery Bay, 1778 Ala Moana, Suite UL-10 (second floor).
Class fee is $20 and includes recipes, sampling and lunch.

CHEF CHAT AT HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE
Roberto Los Banos, for four years chef of Bali by the Sea at Hilton Hawaiian Village, has been promoted to executive sous chef. Adam Hightower, an award-winning chef who worked at restaurants in Texas and Florida before moving to the Hilton as chef tournant earlier this year, is the new Bali chef. Andrew Steiner has been named banquet chef.
International Furusato, owner of Furusato Sushi Bar in Waikiki and L'Uraku, opened Deep Blue last weekend, a supper club in the early evening and nightclub after 10 p.m. It's next-door to Furusato at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki on the street level facing Kalakaua. Romano's Macaroni Grill, with Tuscan-inspired food and singing waiters, opened at Ala Moana Center on Monday.
