Advertiser Staff and News Services

The Punahou Alumni Association is again celebrating its alumni authors with a Puns in Print event at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Case Middle School Kuaihelani (Bldg. 5).

Among the writers on hand to talk story and sign books: Mary Philpotts-McGrath ("Hawai'i: A Sense of Place"), Pam Chun ("When Strange Gods Call"), Edgy Lee ("Waikiki: In the Wake of Dreams") and members of the class of 1952, who created the essay collection "The Day Our World Changed: December 7, 1941, Punahou '52 Remembers Pearl Harbor."

Tickets: $15, including light refreshments and music. Call the Alumni Relations Office, 944-5740.

SKIN SCRUBBERS, BEWARE!

Scrubbing your face in the morning may not be the best idea. Freshly scrubbed skin is more vulnerable to damaging UV rays, according to www.Self.com. So do your sloughing at night. In the morning, be sure to apply sunscreen — SPF 30, preferably.

If you have sensitive skin, opt for a product with a natural mineral blocker such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.
