University of Hawai'i senior forward Natasha Kai was named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Kai scored all three goals in a 3-0 win over Nevada Friday, which helped the Rainbow Wahine clinch the WAC regular-season title outright for the first time in program history.
She also set a WAC single-season record over the weekend with her 58 shots in WAC games, breaking her own single-season mark of 49 set last season. Kai has scored 71 goals in 71 career games.
This is the 11th WAC Player of the Week honor for Kai, the two-time WAC Player of the Year.
The Rainbow Wahine (9-8-2, 5-2 WAC) next head to Boise, Idaho, for the WAC Tournament, where they will attempt to secure their first WAC tournament title and automatic NCAA bid.
Hawai'i received a bye as the top seed and will play the winner of fourth-seeded Utah State and fifth-seeded Fresno State on Friday.
Rounding out the tournament are No. 2 San Jose State, No. 3 Nevada and No. 6 Boise State.
