Radford High School senior Alzie Auelua elevated her volleyball game this season and in the end, she stood above the rest.

Auelua, a 5-foot-9 middle blocker, was named Player of the Year in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's White Conference Western Division after a vote of league coaches.

"She worked hard in the offseason and really wanted it," Rams coach Sheri Sagayaga said.

The crowning moment came when Auelua had a match-high 13 kills to lead the Rams to a victory over Kaiser for the White title.

Auelua is joined on the White West all-star first team by her setter, junior Joanna Vendiola.

Wai'anae placed three players on the all-star first team: senior Jessica Tolentino, junior Ana Fogata and sophomore Marlena Malepeai. Campbell seniors Darlyn Livae and Darlene Medeiros round out the first team.

Sagayaga was named Coach of the Year.

Kaimuki senior outside hitter/middle blocker Kelsey Rita was named Player of the Year in the White East.

"She was real steady all season," Bulldogs coach Shaunna Smith said.

Rita is joined on the White East all-star first team by three other Bulldogs seniors: Kassy Feary, Lata Makisi and Paige Moi. Kaiser seniors Chanelle Esteban and Sharde Pratt and juniors Courtney Kandler and Carianne Makino round out the first team.

Kaiser's Sonja Sismar was named Coach of the Year.
