From freshman role player to senior leader, Kahuku's Camilla Ah-Hoy showed steady and sometimes spectacular growth in the Red Raiders' prodigious program the past four seasons.

She topped it off by being named Player of the Year in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Eastern Division.

Ah-Hoy, a 5-foot-9 outside hitter/setter, was Kahuku's undisputed leader in the Red Raiders' run to the East championship via an 11-1 record.

In the front row, she pounded kills and made key blocks. As a setter, she dictated the pace of the offense while also making digs and serving through extended scoring runs.

Ah-Hoy becomes a rare second-generation Player of the Year. Her mother and coach, Mona Ah-Hoy, was the OIA East Player of the Year for Kahuku in 1985 as Mona Afalava.

Ah-Hoy was the only Kahuku player selected to the East's all-star first team.

Moanalua, Roosevelt and Kalani each is represented by two players. Moanalua placed junior Brianna Amian and sophomore Kaleinani Kabalis, and Roosevelt's selections are senior Justiana "Honey Girl" Kalilimoku and junior Hoku Oleole.

Kalani is represented by seniors Meghan Koizumi and Krystie Vea. McKinley junior Jazmine Ma'afala rounds out the first team.

Roosevelt's Bryan Camello was named Coach of the Year.
