They are a perfect storm of Bryan Maneafaiga's lightning moves and Kala Latuselu's thunderous blocks. Unfortunately, the Warriors' four-wide offense employs one running back, leaving both to weather a competition that should last the entire season.

BRYAN MANEAFAIGA

Hometown: Wai'anae.

Class: Senior.

Height: "5-8 1/4. I'll take the quarter."

Weight: 195 pounds.

40 time: 4.5 seconds.

Bench press: 225 pounds 17 times.

Maximum bench: 335 pounds

Non-football talent: "Fire-knife dancing. We have a family group. I dance all of the time at parties."

Leeward Coast or North Shore: "Leeward side, of course. I'd say we've got more style. We've got more flavor. More excitement."

Best beaches: "I'd have to say the North Shore. I'd have to say Waimea."

Zippy's or L&L Drive-Inn: "Next stop Zippy's. They have the best strawberry milkshakes. I get a strawberry milkshake and a chili and chicken every time."

Case for starting: "Because I'm the man. No, I worked hard. I'm ready. This is my year. I conditioned. I lifted weights. I know the system. I'm prepared. I'm ready."

KALA LATUSELU

Hometown: La'ie.

Class: Junior.

Height: 5-11.

Weight: 215 pounds.

40 time: 4.8 seconds.

Bench press: 225 pounds 24 times.

Maximum bench: 360 pounds.

Non-football talent: "Art. I just got into oil painting. I do canvas, still life. I'm trying to get into realism. It's going to take time."

Leeward Coast or North Shore: "North Shore. It's cleaner. Wai'anae? I don't know. I think that's where they dump sewers. North Shore is cleaner."

Best beaches: "North Shore. We have more turtles. I love the North Shore way better."

Zippy's or L&L Drive-Inn: "Zippy's. I love their chili and rice."

Case for starting: "Because I can guarantee 5 to 10 yards per carry."
