Oahu's 'Hype 5-0' advances in MTV contest

Hype 5-0, the first hip-hop crew selected to represent Hawaii in MTV�s �Randy Jackson Presents: America�s Best Dance Crew� will compete tonight in the second round show�s season-five nationals.
Last week, the seven-member Oahu crew competed successfully against a total of eight other crews from west, east and south regions. Earlier this month, the crew competed with four other crews representing the west in a regional competition. Hype 5-0 was among the top three selected by judges to advance to the national competition.
At the end of tonight�s show, which will air at 10 p.m. Hawaii time, one crew will be eliminated from the ongoing national competition.
Fans will be encouraged to vote for their favorite crew. During tonight�s show, hosts will provide phone numbers and other information about voting, which will be under way for a short period.
Hype 5-0 includes: Josh �Hazmat� Ulep, 22, of Wailua; Brittnie Aguilar, 18, of Mililani; Casey Kalahiki, 23, of Honolulu; Marc �Dueynutz� Duey, 21, of Kapolei; Jonathan �Ramones� Ramones, 18, of Ewa; William �Nessy� Soares III, 19, of Honolulu; and Allen-Charles �Brain� Pascual, 26, of Ewa.
