Laan, Wray first Hawai�i finishers in Boston

Honolulu's Brandon Laan was the first finisher from Hawai'i in today's Boston Marathon, according to results posted at the race's website.
Laan, 26, finished in 2 hours, 28 minutes, 13 seconds, to finish 54th overall.
Honolulu's Jonathan Lyau, 45, was the second Hawai'i finisher in 2:48:19, 441st overall. Blandon Picl, 41, of Kane'ohe was third in 2:51:13 (571st), followed by Lyman Perry, 43, of Volcano, Hawai'i (2:53:42, 685th), and Robert Plotts, 34, of Honolulu (2:59:29, 1233rd).
'Aiea's Belinda Wray, 32, was the first Hawai'i female finisher in 3:20:10 (4501st overall, 543rd among females), followed by Honolulu's Patricia Havey, 27, in 3:31:47 (7399th, 1476th), Jennifer Tom, 31, of Lahaina, Maui, in 3:33:48 (7930th, 1690th), Gay Murakami, 44, of Kailua in 3:35:38 (8445th, 1923rd) and Jo Cinter, 42, of Kane'ohe in 3:41:40 (10211st, 2814th).
Hawai'i Kai resident Kit Smith finished third in the ages 75 to 79 years old division. Smith, former business editor of the Honolulu Advertiser, had a time of 4:18:03.
